IoT Waikato is an event for innovators, thought leaders and organisations interested in the Internet of Things, Smart Cities & Industry 4.0

About this event

This event provides an opportunity to get together to share and find out what is happening in the IoT, Smart Cities and Industry 4.0 space around the Waikato, NZ, and globally, including opportunities and challenges.

Spark IoT

Spark IoT is focused on connecting New Zealand businesses to technology and helping them in becoming more productive and more sustainable. We will hear about the work they are doing including insights and perspectives around the potential of IoT across a range of sectors and the opportunity to leverage networks, devices, expertise and know-how through the team at Spark IoT.

Artificial Intelligence Institute

Phil Mourot from the University of Waikato’sArtificial Intelligence Institute will provide insights on the work he and the team are involved in, as part of the Time-Evolving Data Science / Artificial Intelligence for Advanced Open Environmental Science (TAIAO) Research Programme, developing a regional flood impact prediction tool using machine learning to manage flood risk in real-time.
