InsurTechNZ December Newsletter

Hi members and supporters, thanks for being part of our community during 2022. The ecosystem is growing, connected by a shared interest in using data and digital strategies to enhance the customer experience.

November’s Member event featured a highly knowledgeable five person panel discussing how insurance can prepare for open banking. Catch what Deloitte’s Kylie Bryant and Simfuni’s Shaun Quincey had to say on our LinkedIn page. This topic struck a chord and we will likely return to it in 2023.

Note the 23rd February in your diaries for an InsurTechNZ Member event hosted by Deloitte in Auckland which will canvas the transformation journeys of insurers. Register here.

Our relationship with InsurTech Australia continues to strengthen. A group of members pursuing trans-Tasman growth strategies recently received a briefing on market trends from InsurTech Australia’s CEO Simone Dossetor, who also extended an invitation to attend InsurTech Live, 15th February in Sydney.

In related news, InsurTech NZ members now receive a 50% discount off their first year of an InsurTechAustralia subscription. (This offer is for a limited time and applies only to new memberships, not renewals.)

Collaborating on international trade shows is one way our organisations can work together. If you are considering attending or exhibiting at ITC Asia, to be held mid year in Singapore do let us know in order to present a stronger Australasian presence at this event.

Closer to home, the programme for FinTech Hui 2023 is filling up. Employees of InsurTechNZ member companies receive discounted entry. Find out more here.

Wishing you a safe and happy holiday season,
Blair Turnbull, co-chair & Dale Smith, co-chair
