The Digital Leaders Lab
A leadership conversation about delivering value from your technology investments
Welcome to the Digital Leaders Lab 2019, a series of monthly breakfast sessions designed to enhance the personal effectiveness and strategic relevance of IT leaders in the digital age. Our focus is on developing great digital leaders who deliver value to their organisations through technology. The format of each session is a short presentation by a guest speaker on the chosen topic followed by a lean coffee style discussion giving you plenty of opportunity to raise and engage on the questions you are seeking answers to.
Our topic for this month is: How to Build Influence With Your Business Peers
Guest Speaker: Paul Carlisle
Today’s IT team is charged with delivering value to their organisation through the effective use of information and technology. This is a simple enough mandate to understand however delivering on this is easier said than done. CIOs and their teams face a number of barriers that make delivering value difficult. One of the biggest issues is that IT teams do not control the value they create. Delivering value through IT requires a joint effort between IT and all other departments within the organisation. No other department is so dependent on effective cooperation as IT. Building influence with your business peers is therefore critical to success.
A full buffet breakfast will be served. Please e-mail registrations@itp.nz with any dietary requirements.
