Phil joined Bayer in 2018 upon the acquisition of Monsanto where lead Biotech New Investments and fostered external R&D engagements. Today as Open Innovation Lead, Phil plays a central role cultivating relationships with researchers around the world and providing a home at Bayer for them to accelerate their ideas.

Simon Maechling, PhD
Innovation Scout, Bayer Crop Science

Simon has spent his career working in the agrochemicals industry. As an experienced project manager, he has worked in organic synthesis, drug discovery and life sciences. Simon now scouts for innovation at Bayer Crop Science.
